AADOH President   Prof. Shun-Te Huang

Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen, I am CHEN, JIAN-FU, Chairman of the Kaohsiung Dental Association. It is an exciting moment that the Taiwan Association for Disability and Oral Health is going to hold their annual congress in Kaohsiung in the period of April 12 ~ 14, 2019. As the chairman of the local dental association, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who may participate in this event. Our Association also has a Special Needs Oral Care Committee, and several demonstration activities of teeth brushing for persons with disability have been duly performed. During the courses, we found that there were so many people required special oral care and treatment. Dentists should provide a better oral care service for these group. As the trend in the future, long-term care will be an integral part for medical treatment. Therefore, more investment of workforce will also be required for the care and treatment for those with specials needs. The Dental Association adheres to the spirit of providing services to the society and the public, wishing that more dentists will participate in the service sector. I wish to address my gratitude to Chairman, Dr. Chia-Yi Jan and Prof. Shun-Te Huang for allowing the participation of the Kaohsiung Dental Association regarding the event. I believe that we will work more closely in the future to lead this upcoming event into a very success one.
CHEN, JIAN-FU
